Gobbo is the only blend to carry Peri Bigogno winery’s rich history and custom of skillfully assembling Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon of the Bordeaux area. Along with adapting the peculiarities of the territory, Marzemino was added to the blend.
Dark ruby red with pomegranate hues reflecting long aging in oak barrels. Pleasant and delicate, with complex aromas of vanilla, cherries, prunes, walnut husks and sweet spices.
The taste is warm, smooth and full-bodied; with a hint of chocolate; delicate taste of wood; sweet spices prevail over the herbaceous aroma of the Merlot grape. Well-balanced, very pleasant.
Suggested food pairings include red meat, wild game and aged cheese.
