Azul is produced from Tempranillo and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Guelbenzu vines are in Cascante, Navarra on the La Lombana estate in Vierlas, between Navarra and Aragón. The wine is produced using traditional methods, is aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels.
Powerful and structured with good length and volume on the palate. Ripe blackberry and plums very well-integrated with balsam and mint, and vanilla and cocoa notes in the finish.
